I've been on an MLP kick for a couple of weeks now....I've been re - watching some of the episodes, and I ordered one of the Wal - Mart Rainbow Dash plushies and a SDCC 2012 Zecora online a week ago....at first, MLP: FiM was sort of a casual interest for me, but now I've found that I'm starting to become more vested in the characters, especially Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle...
Anyway, what I really wanted to ask was, did anyone like My Little Pony before MLP: FiM "revived" it, you might say? Like, was anyone ever into the first generation of MLP in the 80s - early 90s? I was sort of born on the tail - end of Gen 1 MLP, but a neighbor girl who babysat me gave me some of her old ponies, and that started me collecting Gen 1 MLPs from antique stores and flea markets when I was ages 11 - 14. I have a bunch of Gen 1 ponies now, along with my small G4 collection. I never really cared that much for G3 MLP...G3 seemed kind of shallow and didn't have much of a storyline, and I love G1 and G4 for their strong storylines and subject matter.
How about the rest of you? Was anyone else a brony (or an MLP Fan) before G4 made it cool?
