Ever Experienced Anything "Fortean" ???

I'm a big fan of Charles Fort. He spent the better part of his life collecting stories of odd, anomalous events that actually happened to people. (You might check his entry at Wiki.) I have a collection of his books, and I was reading the magazine long before the interweb happened along.

Since we as ASpies are 'wired differently', I was wondering if we are more inclined to see ghosts, or UFOs, or Black Dogs, or get premonitions, or see things that "normal" people don't see, or have prophetic dreams?

So, have you ever known who was calling on the telephone before you answered it? Seen a spirit being? A light in the sky? Felt you had been someplace before when you knew you hadn't? (Deja Vu)
Perhaps it wasn't an experience that fits into a neat category.
Ever see a garden gnome dancing about (not the plaster ones)?

Yes and no. No because we don't get too overexcited in the typical social way someone would be, and therefore don't get carried away in the moment and believe something that didn't really happen, happened. Like the OMG!AREYOUSSEINGTHIS scenario.
Yes because we seem to miss some layers, and therefore we can be very specific and spot details and small happenings that other's don't see. I guess we also can "feel" things happening. Though it may not matter. I don't believe in those things.

Whether you believe in them or not, people do have such experiences.

A few years ago, I got a song stuck in my head that I hadn't heard or thought of in over 30 years. It wasn't a super-famous song. The next weekend, the title of the song turned up in a crossword puzzle.

Also, once I was walking down a sidewalk that had a lot of overgrown bushes next to it and I walked through a spiderweb and I can't stand that feeling and started thrashing around trying to get rid of it. There was a group of Spanish-speaking men on the other side of the street looking at me like I was loco. I don't know much Spanish besides buenos dias and adios, but for some reason I shouted, "Telarania!" The men laughed and nodded. The next day, I asked someone at work who's from Venezuela how to say "Spiderweb" in Spanish. It's "Telarana."

P. S. I know it's arana with a little swish over the n, but I don't know how to type it.

I have frequently started hearing a song in my head, then turned on the radio and heard it.
More frequently, I think something and then my wife says it. Before I was married, the same thing happened with my roommate. I've thought about making a log of when this happens, but never gotten around to it.

Premonitions are frequently mundane, such as a song you haven't heard for a long time, or a subject of conversation.

What is your take on Edgar Cayce?
My understanding is that he has never been disproved......

I've never taken the tie to study him and his 'readings' in depth. At various times I've read about how he recommended a healing formula for someone and it worked. Other times I've read about how his Atlantis predictions have yet to come true.

I see Shadow People sometimes. I knew what they were and what they were called before I even looked them up online. I used to think that maybe it was because my antipsychotic medication was failing me, but I still see them even though my dosage has been increased. My favorite theory concerning them is that they are time travelers.

Yes to all of the above! I've always had interesting experiences since I was a child. UFOs, shadows/spirits, knowing who is calling before answering the phone, astral projection, knowledge that I haven't learned, etc. I also have a special interest in patterns, so I see a lot of things others do not and make connections between things that others don't.

I think I may have seen one. On my way to work one dark morning, as my headlights went past a tree, I thought I saw a man in shadows. He stepped to one side as my headlights swept past, as if to remain unnoticed. I saw that movement, and thought I should stop and go back to see if anyone was really there. I was so sure that when I saw a woman walking to the bus stop at the end of the block I felt the urge to stop and tell her as she was headed in that direction.
