Weird fashion

I'm back in the city today and really noticed the difference to the apparently unfashionable rural area where I've been staying recently. I'm by no means catwalk material, but what is with some of these fashions?
Some I noted -
1. Dudes wearing boat shoes / loafers with their pants rolled up to 3/4 length. Just no.
2. The "top knot." Yikes. Not everyone can pull that off without just looking silly
3. The hipster full beard. Ew.
4. Women who wear those skin tight legging things irrespective of their body type / reality / common decency
5. Women with bleach blonde hair and black roots, done deliberately to look as if it's a bad dye job left to grow out. What the ?
Whinging aside, city women seem to have brought back the parasol for shade in sunny weather, which I find quite charming.
Weird fashions, anyone? Do and don't likes?

What's wrong with a beard? I agree on the man bun.

I saw some beard envy the other day. One fella sporting a lumberjack beard was checking out another fella across the street wearing quite a significant bright orange ZZ Top number. Mr Lumberjack seemed very covetous of Mr ZZ Top, who appeared very smug. Neither saw me witnessing their encounter with each other. It was hilarious!

I personally don't get offended by fashion.

Why not wear boat shoes with rolled up pants?
I wear socks with my crocs sometimes.

^ Noooo Raleigh, not the socks and crocs man! Just complete the picture by admitting you wear trackie pants and a football jersey with them!
Then again, I wear cargo pants which are apparently so unfashionable you can't even buy them anymore.
I don't know what it is about the beard, it just grosses me out. Maybe I'm getting old or something but it doesn't help that the guys wearing these huge beards otherwise look about 12. Weirdness.
I've never had beard envy. Nope.
I also saw a guy not so long ago with a waxed moustache, turned up at the ends into a kind of moustache-grin.
I'm not seriously worried about fashion, just find most of it really weird!

I'm pretty oblivious to fashion. The thing I notice the most being driven to school are all the dog walkers. Having a little dog to walk seems like some kind of Seattle fashion statement.

I don't get the half-long, half-shaved hair style.

Weird is in the eye of the beholder.

Fashion at my work runs the gamut.

Personally I go traditional dress pants nice shirt,to old fashion vest or suspenders to whimsical.
Whimsical includes
A. Sponge Bob Square tie
B. Pink Sport Coat
C. Chicken leg (and other novelty) socks.

I don't live in a major city where people feel they have to dress like something out of the circus in order to stand out, and fashion is not that big of a deal except for maybe teenagers and even little kids who have to wear what all the other kids are wearing or their lives will be over. I am usually in my own little world too much to notice what other people are wearing when I go out. I did think girls walking around in public with PJ bottoms was weird, however. I don't even like wearing PJ bottoms to bed.

I don't know. When I look at pictures of what was fashionable during the 80's when I was a kid it's just so hilarious I love it. The huge, frizzy hair and the day-glow colors and the crazy loud patterns. It was so rad.

The only clothing style that makes me feel oddly uneasy is anything asymmetrical like uneven hemlines or one shoulder exposed and the other covered.

"Cold shoulder" dresses and tops for women.

I just don't understand this trend. They look both uncomfortable and "cold" literally. Those garments have been everywhere this year. For those who haven't seen it, the "cold shoulder" blouse is when there's a sleeve but there's a deliberate gap right on the shoulder, leaving the curve of your shoulder and some of your upper arm bare, while the rest of the sleeve is present.

I just know simply by looking at them that they would give me sensory distraction and discomfort. The feeling of that piece of seamed fabric beginning again just after my shoulder/upper arm would bother me enough that I'd be tearing the thing off my body while screaming. In a public place.

I also feel like I'd feel the draft of cold air on that bit of skin. I'm sensitive to when clothing leaves a place for air to chill me. Brrr. I can't stand to even look at cold-shoulder garments on other people. Everyone seems to be wearing one lately, even women I see interviewed on, like, news report on TV.

In London at the moment there is also a glut of "the hipster full beard." It's everywhere. It only bothers me because personally I find a full beard a turn-off in a man, but I understand that this is just my personal thing and others don't find it a turn off but often a turn-on. That's okay. I just can't imagine liking it on a guy I were to be intimate with. I worry about things like......food in it?

That cold shoulder thing is weird, wouldn't that appear as if you'd just torn the seam of your shirt? Why is that good? Bit then again, that's in fashion too. Buying clothing that is already torn or dirty.

Yeah it does look like someone just walked up to the person, grabbed a sleeve and just tore the seam down and walked away, lol! On both arms!
