I think it would be interesting to find out what browser people on here prefer the most?

In my opinion, Chrome is the best internet browser around. It's just so much faster, and more customisable than any of the alternatives.

Chrome. It's fast, customizable and set out (fairly) well.
The usual pattern is for the majority of people to prefer Chrome, and for the largest minority of people to prefer Firefox. Internet Explorer has usage rates which rival the aforementioned browsers, but usually by people who either do not know about other browsers or only want something convenient, people who aren't likely to say it's really their 'preferred browser'.

I like chrome. I thought internet explorer was for people at work that does not allow them to install software.

I mostly use Firefox, but like Chrome too. I prefer Firefox mostly because of all the add-ons I've got for it.

I'm happy with anything that's not internet explorer though.

I said Chrome, but only because I use it more often than Firefox. They're both great browsers IMHO.

FF, although I kept trying to avoid the endless updates that yanked away features like being taken straight to a site just by typing a word or phrase in the search bar. I'm on 6.0, updated figuratively at gunpoint. At least when it crashes now (which I never had happen back on v3.0) I can restart without losing the wall of text I was writing when it happened

Firefox for the add-ons. Chrome is a memory hog on my computer. IE - forget it!

IE has one practical purpose: It is needed to get other browsers downloaded. – Firefox here, I'm still on 3.6.13 and everything works.

Chrome for the security.

Firefox is great for cumstomisability, add-ons, and for syncing across multiple devices. My back-up is Chrome, then Opera, then Safari, then IE. Why d the generation above me insist on not caring about browsers? At my university, Firefox was standard.

My feelings on IE are dark. Also:

I used Opera for some time but now I've succumbed to Chrome

I use Chrome. I don't use Firefox for a very silly reason - it has orange color in its logo.
I have to use IE at work, because some of the programs we use won't run with other browsers.
