Some of us might have the 3D perception and intelligence required, but most people are too dumb to safely drive in a straight line on the ground!
(driving fatalities are the greatest cause of death, even over handguns, cancer and heart disease combined!) Otherwise, the Moller Skycar could've been released 20 years ago!

I'm irked there are so many STUPID fatalities... and the morons causing the crash usually survive instead of the family of 5 they wiped out.

if google [and others] succeeds in making their driverless car architecture/infrastructure, could flying cars possessing artificial pilot intelligence be far behind?

Something that's annoyed me ever since Finding Nemo was released back in May 2003 was how rarely Nemo's father Marlin is featured in any kind of merchandise made to promote the film. There's a Marlin toy in a figurine playset sold by the Disney Store, and there was a Marlin Happy Meal toy offered by McDonalds when the movie came out, and there was a Marlin plush, too, although it was only sold at a certain Disneyland location. I got a free set of Finding Nemo magnets from the Disney Store a few months ago when they re-released it in 3D, and there's not even a Marlin magnet. Argh!

I mean, Marlin is such an important part of Finding Nemo....he's one of the main tritagonists....if he hadn't been willing to search as far and as long as he had to in order to find his son, Nemo never would have gotten found.

...I know this seems like a really trivial thing to be annoyed by; it's just that I really like Marlin....he reminds me of my own dad, and I love how he overcomes his severe anxiety and fear of leaving the little enclave where his anemone is and enlisting the help of fish he doesn't know (maybe Marlin also has some form of AS?) all in order to bring his son back. It makes me think that maybe someone as fearful and socially phobic as I am could do something great like that too. :D

Excellent point... they market the popular, sellable characters... but not the star???

That reminds me of the Jim Henson TV series, Dinosaurs. Only the baby got made into a plush figure... but that's all anyone wanted anyway. ;)

Sadly, sadly true...

Here is such an example of what a parent should be, and his caring and devotion is ignored in favor of marketing the 'cute' characters.

Air travelers who commit "air rage" and think commiting air rage is justifiable.

People referring to me with pronouns that describe my physical gender rather than my spiritual gender.

People who speak a foreign language around you at work.

People who walk their dogs without leashes.

People who stay on a checkout line just talking to the clerk even when there's a long line behind them.

People who accost you on the street for money.

Cars that come to a screeching halt at intersections.

People spitting on the ground on the sidelines at football games. Ugh!

+1 ! I really don't get how it is possible to prefer a person in its "lost period", this absolutely annoys me AND makes me sad as well.
