Strange Faces, a musical about people with Asperger's. According to the About page, it was created as an attempt to portray people with Asperger's in a non-clinical fashion. There are a few videos on Youtube which you can find on their video page.

I began my writing process with extensive research, particularly interviews with children with Asperger’s and their families. These primary sources form the heart and soul of Strange Faces.

It does not currently appear to be running anywhere. It appeared to be part of some kind of project.

Curious to see what you guys think. I found this by searching "aspergers musical" (you can actually find a ridiculous number of musicals this way, such as "Nerds: The Musical" and "Effing Hipsters"). This appears to be written by a non-Aspie, though. If someone were to make a musical about the subject of the entire autism spectrum, how would you like them to handle it? How can non-verbal characters be introduced in a way that allows them to "speak for themselves" and not have someone else speak for them?

I've recently been thinking that it would be interesting if there were a musical about a "cure" for autism being discovered, and the differing reactions among the community. Not sure how to make a plot out of this, though - world-building is my strength, actual plots are my weakness.

this is a very powerful tune in my opinion.
it is called "overture to a holiday in berlin"

the music expresses a boredom and dissatisfaction and it is very well written. and also it is very hard to play.
do walk away from your screen and just listen to the music because the visual content is worthless.
