Bakers, try making this Halloween cake!

My daughter and I are making this today, and I wanted to share the idea with ya'll. It's a cake that's shaped like a pumpkin.

You make two Bundt cakes of whatever flavor you want. Level off the flat part with a knife so it will sit evenly. Also make one 8 inch round cake and level it off. Color some canned, or homemade icing orange. My daughter will make Royal icing because it's better for decorating.

Put one Bundt cake round side down. Put icing on the top and put the regular cake on top of it. More icing, then the other Bundt cake, round side up. Take all the pieces you cut off during leveling and stuff them down in the hole of the top Bundt cake. Meanwhile, get a soup can, wash it, and bake some cake batter in it. Take it out of the can after.

Ice the big cake with orange frosting. Run a knife down the cake to make ridges like a pumking. (Bundt pans have the ridges so it works good). Trim the cake from the can so it's leaning like a stem and is thinner at the top. Put it on the top of the orange cake and frost it with brown. Put ridges with a knife on it too.

Get tootsie rolls and roll them out flat. Cut eyes, nose and mouth from them and stick onto the side of the pumpkin. Get green gum drops and roll them out and cut out leaves from them with a cookie cutter or a knife. Put some around the top at the bottom of the stem. Get the green "Sour Straws" candy (long thin pieces of candy made from gumdrop stuff) and roll them tightly around a pencil. Let them sit ten minutes then slide them off. They will still be curly. Stick one end near the bottom of the stem and cover with more leaves.

Serve it by cutting through the top Bundt cake and taking pieces, then through the regular cake (fatter pieces there) and then through the bottom Bundt cake.
