Since I study a lot of history, I've found that a lot of cultures gave people names who would bring them good fortune or success, so they were given names that were entire phrases. So what would your name had been?
You can find your names meaning here.

Mine would have been something like:
The man who God graciously send to stand like a mountain and to be victorious.

Man
God is Gracious
Rock/Mountain
Victorious/Conqueror
(Yes, I have four names.)

Viewing my gaming, I can't say it's wrong.

Adam John, don't know the mountain name, Victor?

The name could be Ben, which is mountain in Gaelic, but since Ben means son in Hebrew, I doubt it's that.

I'll not tell you my meanings, since it would be too easy to work out from my full name where I am.

I have a really crappy name. Well, I did but I legally changed it.
Names are important.

If you have a "cool" name like "Kurt Hunter" then you will get more respect than if your name was "Wilber Beanblossom" or "Irving Lipshitz"

It's original meaning is "protector of mankind".

I don't say this often but that made me LOL.

I have three names (RCJ) given at birth (and my surname of course) and according to this name site the first means 'famous wolf'. The second is the name people yell out loud when they see me....( :D ) and is a derivative from Cornelis and the name site says that it means 'horn' in these areas, i.e. N.W. Europe. The third is Jan and should mean 'god is gracious'.

Okeedokee.

Unless you're like my sister who you can seach first name only and get only her in any kind of phonebook, I wouldn't worry. ^^
Besides, considering how many different languages and styles you can write it in, you're just as safe telling the meaning as you would have been not saying anything. ;)
