Heard this on the TV the other day. Anyone get it? I'll post the answer later if nobody gets it.

A man walks into a bar and asks the barman for a glass of water.
The barman pulls out a gun and fires it, narrowly missing the man's head.
The man says "Thank you", puts a tip on the bar and leaves.

What just happened?

Answer soon if nobody gets it. I thought it was quite clever.

Did the man by any chance have the hiccups?
A good scare from a gun could be a viable way to deal with that, and apparently some use water too.

Is the guy is a dwarf...oh, pardon me, "vertically challenged person" (head at bar counter level) and the gun a drink gun (kind with the dispenser buttons for different drinks ...water, club soda, etc) ??
