I'm "better" now, but for a period of three or four years recently I would listen to the Beatles song Help! over and over again many thousands of times. When the media player is set to repeat, this song plays three times in about seven minutes, or about twenty-five times an hour. I listened to it literally thousands of times, sometimes even slowing it down to half speed and going to bed with headphones on. I also would play guitar along with it to try to learn how to play this song. More than once I played it four hours in a row (about one hundred times). One time I played along to this song on guitar for six hours straight (a hundred fifty times in a row).
I was filmed in February 2012 riding INDOORS and playing this song. In some ways I am a better musician now than I was even last February when this was filmed, but this is a particularly good version of my rendition of the song and I am very glad this video was filmed and posted on YouTube. It seems since this video was made I haven't played Help! nearly so much.
I studied this song intensely not only from the album and single versions but also the live performances on video. For example in the Blackpool TV show John plays the first chorus with an open G chord, while on the Ed Sullivan show he plays that chord as a barre form on the third fret. Because I practiced this song so much, it seems that other Beatles songs from the same period (mid-1964 to late-1965) are much easier for me to learn now. I recently added I Feel Fine, Ticket to Ride and Tray Dipper (a parody of Day Tripper) to the list of songs I perform at shows now.

Forgive me for posting this video again if you've seen it in other WrongPlanet threads. I am quite partial to this song and this is so far the best video yet that shows the musical and cycling talents of The Bicycling Guitarist.
