I saw your post in which you explained how your nickname is supposed to be pronounced.

My comment: you shouldve named yourself "Equestria2LA".

That way it would be clear that its supposed to pronounced "to L.A.".

I get that you yearn to go to Los Angelos.

But my question is about the "equestria" part.

Are you a horse enthusiast?

Im not particularly myself. Just curious about what your nickname means.

It is probably pony-related. But I could be wrong, so better let him answer that.

It is pony related. He explained it in a different thread.

It's the kingdom in which My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is based. Uhh...A TV show.

It's a tv series, My Little Pony. Thanks Makayla and Crystal for clarifying . I didn't know what "tola" meant.

Yes- its "equestria to L.A." -his two favorite places.

OH... Now it all falls into place.

He is a "My LIttle Pony" fan.

It makes sense that a fictional country in MLP would be called "Equestria".

So his nickname couples a mythical and 'real' place (though LA is rather unreal in some ways too... lol).

I always imagine Equestriatola as rhyming with coca-cola. Is that not correct?

Sorry.

That would be more lovely and musical (though MUCH harder to pronounce).

If it ended with "lola" it would be easy. But "tola" is hard -for my mouth atleast- to negotiate. I used to think thats how it was supposed to be said as well.

But according to him- thats not how its meant to be pronounced apparently.

Yes, people, my handle is meant to be read as "Equestria to L.A." - thanks to the other guys for clearing that up.

Mods; if it is all possible, can I change my handle to make it say "Equestria2LA"?
