Not being able to enjoy life anymore without alcohol
So far I've been suffering from extreme fatigue in my life everytime I'm not drinking.
Been to a zillion doctors for this fatigue thing, none of them can help.
The moment I'm drinking something like wine is the only moment where I feel like I'm actually enjoying my day and feel alive.
The moment I sober up again is the worst moment and mind you that lately it's been 3 months since I touched a drip of alcohol again, but the fatigue kept on going during those months.
Ugh, I hate this.
Feel like I'm lacking a stimulant in my life whenever I'm sober as hell.
Anyone relate?
Cant say Ive ever felt like that, I used to drink a lot socially but I could never take the hangovers the next day. Having to dealw ith that every day would make me even more miserable.
Have you tried exercise to take your mind off of it, or finding a new hobby that interests you?
Its worth kicking the drink (or at least cutting down), extended amounts of drinking really does a number on your liver, which is probably what is making you feel so crappy when you dont drink.
Try spending a couple of days to a week drinking nothing but water, to really flush out all the toxins that have built up in your liver, see if that makes you feel any better.

Exercise and proper nutrition would probably still help then. Taking Omega 3 oil and a decent multivit will boost your overall body and brain function. Without knowing what your hobbies and interests are etc I cant tell how active alife you lead, but being sedentary and just sitting around all day can definately make you feel slow, same as not getting the right amounts of nutrients that the body needs to keep ticking over.

I can sort of relate. Why did you stop drinking? Was it getting out of control? Health concerns?
Is it actual physical fatigue you're feeling or mainly lethargy?
In my case, I stopped heavy(not extreme) daily drinking a couple years ago. I felt crummy and tense for a couple weeks, then I felt really good for about a month, then i started getting some very anxious feelings at times and having a hard time feeling good or much of anything really. An exercise and maybe meditation type routine can help a lot. It doesn't have to be extreme exercise, just make sure it's a regular routine, that seems to be the key.
But I still got feelings of wanting a beer (never did develop a taste for wine). Now, what I do is buy a six pack and drink it over the course of a couple evenings, then not drink for a couple days, then repeat. A self-medicating prescription of sorts. This seems to work for me. By the second day of not drinking, I'm really looking forward to that beer. But the gaps between drinking help and the gaps are short enough that it's just something I look forward to and not a big deal.
I hope this helps. Of course, if you are not able to limit your drinking when you do drink, probably best to not drink at all. I used to have real problems limiting my drinking, but now after breaking my old habits, I've managed to take control of drinking. I'm not saying go ahead and drink, just relating my situation. Good Luck!
