Do you think these people (who act like morality police) give someone s**t just for the sake of giving someone s**t? (because they just like giving someone s**t?)

Like they look their ass off for motives that justify their horrible actions towards "those who deserve it" according to them.

Personally I think they're no better than the people they hunt on, but it seems to me society tolerates them completely.

Especially those who hunt after situations like this so they can wreak SERIOUS havoc on the "guilty one" without knowing who he is or what his background is.

Personally if you got a bad opinion about someone, perhaps NOT RUBBING IT IN THAT PERSONS FACE can make you a more likeable person?

Anyone else agree here?

Of course. They can feel superior to everyone else, and not have to focus on their own flaws at all. Do as I say, not as I do makes me cringe.

Could we have more information on a specific incident?
Are people that concerned about the morality of perfect strangers, or only resulting behavior that affects them?

For example some guy gets accused of raping his girlfriend, the incident gets the news and people reading the newspaper are already throwing death-threats at the guy, then some people gather around his house to teach this rapist guy a lesson and they beat him senseless to the point he permanently loses the ability to walk because of the injuries he received to then later find out that his girlfriend actually completely made up the story about the rape to the press.

That is not what I thought you meant.
That is vigilante or mob thinking.
That is violence and is illegal.
That is also lawsuits against the individuals AND the accuser.
AND jail time for both.
Why was this man not in custody, both for his safety and for the safety of the woman who claimed to be a victim?
Had he been given bail?

Was just giving a rough fictional example of such thing called "morality police behaviour", but yes, stuff like this can happen.
