If someone is truly deeply unhappy, has been for quite awhile (like years and years), nothing has worked to fix it, and they don't want to be alive any longer they shouldn't really be pressured/forced to stay around just for the possible benefit of other people.

People need to stop freaking out whenever they see a *cartoon* dog eat chocolate. The other day I saw a video that showed Snoopy making and eating a chocolate sundae, and people in the comments were like, "Snoopy NOOO!" And yet it's perfectly acceptable for dogs to be acting like humans. Also Garfield eats chocolate, which is also toxic to real cats and I've never heard anyone complain about that.
