So I put an ad up for an old video camera on Craigslist (anyone on here interested in old cameras, it's meant to be hooked to another VCR, RCA model CC010.) I went to look in my spam folder, and found a bunch of (spam) replies to it. Here's how the emails go:

This is quite bizarre to me. How exactly would anyone believe they are found hot based upon a craigslist ad for a product? So yes, uhm, just a warning, girls likely do not think you're hot based upon Craigslist ads. And if they did think you're hot, then they'd just give you real contact info and not have you sign up for scam websites. I find this a bizarre kinda scam, though. Just weird as all hell.

How can you be sure its a girl?

This seems like a scam although it reminds of the I am not a witch political ad.

Really dumb guys that constantly think with something besides their brain might stand a tiny chance of falling for it. If the spam e-mail is sent to a very large number of people a few of them are bound to think it's a genuine personal message sent only to them.
