I remember I went out to Applebees with my family for dinner last year. It would had been a fun night, unfortunately, the ESPN was on the televisions around the restaurant....not a good sign. I spent an hour with a group of college kids sitting behind us, yelling every 2 minutes whenever someone started running with the ball. I kept on jumping in my seat every time one them screamed. After what felt like an eternity, the game ended and I thought I was safe. Until, a waiter said, "What else would you guys like to watch?" and the guy behind said (yelled), "How about that Knicks game!?!" I thought I was going to cry. Anyway, I'm bored and felt like sharing this for fun.

Ugh! Sport. I just have never understood the apparent attraction that people have to watching a game, be it cricket, tennis or football (aka 'soccer') or whatever you care to name, and why they get so worked up about who wins in the end, as though the outcome could actually matter to anyone apart from the participants (who usually get paid a lot of money to win). I don't find watching a game to be exciting at all, I would rather watch paint dry, that's how boring I find it to be.

If people really must watch a game in a public place, they should at least be considerate enough to the others who do not share their 'passion' to refrain from behaving like a bunch of baboons when they do so. Surely that's not too much to ask for.

I have never been to a restuarant of that type and not seen a game on, so I don't see anything at all wrong with it.

It wasn't the game itself that was bothering me, it was just the noisy people that were sitting behind me. I was having a rough day and getting a headache from constant shouting wasn't helping me.
