I went to my cousin's house. I ate a "turducken" for the first time. It's a turkey, stuffed inside a duck, and then the duck is stuffed inside a chicken. It was delicious. It originated in Cajun country in Louisiana (I am only 90 miles west of the Louisiana state line). When I first heard that name, I laughed because it had the word "turd" in it.

I got $75 worth of Best Buy gift cards, a $25 American Express gift card, $40 worth of Wal-Mart gift cards, a jar of salsa made by Kinky Friedman (who ran unsuccessfully for governor of Texas this year), a jigsaw puzzle, $10 in restaurant gift cards, a Homer Simpson Christmas ornament, and a beer mug with the Simpsons on it (I don't drink, but I like stuff with the Simpsons on it).

Tomorrow, everybody is coming to my house.

Tim

I've always celebrated on Christmas Eve. So I gave my kids their gifts (lots of barbies and video games ), cooked like a slave, fell asleep in bed, then woke up and watched "Ice Age" off and on and kept laughing at all the jokes ("That's it. You're out of the herd.").

I got: a bottle of Vanilla extract from Mexico, three sweaters, some body cream, and one shirt, all from my mom.

TimTex, I had a dream last night about a turkey and chicken cooked together! 8O

No duck . That would have been a little too weird!

How long do all those birds take to cook? And it's done in a regular oven?

I have never seen one actually being cooked.

The turducken was bought already cooked at a grocery store.

My famliy goes to Christmas Eve mass. So after mass, we have dinner and then we open presents. The first half of the day is spent cleaning and getting ready for evening.

I got the game Apples to Apples, two books (Banking for the poor and Pirates!), markers, coffee mug and spoon, and digestive bistices.

dont the smaller birds get stuffed into the larger turkey?this turducken appears to defy know laws of physics(as if I knew any laws of physics, lol)

I took my boyfriend and his son out to "crazy buffet"....they like the sushi and I like all the asian dishes with broc. and fried shrimp.

Santa gave me .... "Hannibal Rising" and "Black Dahlia" and am going to use my Target gift cert. to buy a back massager pad (not the vibro kind but the ones with rolling things in them). They are out of stock, but hopeful will get some soon.....neck is killing me.No more slam dancing for me"age pays the price of the folly of youth"

We are watching Adult Swim Christmas special.....looking forward to "Venture Brothers" marathon tomorrow. Not looking forward to going over to boyfriends friends tomorrow but I begged off for Thanks giving and twice would be pushing it.

From smallest to largest, I think it's turkey, duck, chicken.

I wonder if they're going to show the 12-oz. Mouse marathon on New Year's Eve again. I want to see the Squidbillies marathon.

I've spent my Christmas Eve at my Grandma's house so far. We ate waffles at about 2pm, and then we stayed and ate cookies, opened a few presents, and conversed for a little while (until about 8:45pm or so). It was fun and I really like hanging out with my Grandma. You can also say that I've had my first experience with rum with her special rum cookies, which I have to say were very strong! lol I mean, I didn't know that they'd be that strong, but you could totally smell rum on my breath after eating just one. It wasn't too much alcohol because I only ate one small rum ball, but for a first taste it made me wonder how pirates would have been able to drink entire bottles of the stuff if I couldn't take even a tablespoon of it lol. Anyways, this has been my Christmas Eve by far; now I'm sitting at home with my sister Megan in the backround hitting her drumsticks on a book (it's annoying I know, but so is my trombone playing to some people so I have to let her do something; she's having fun so I don't want to ruin it). My dad and my brothers are having fun as well; I'm hoping that we'll be able to play one of my favourite games later called "Imagine If". It's not like "imagine if so and so was eating what and what" or something to the like; it's an actual board game! (Fun for aspies by the way, lol!)

Would that be the cardbaord box next to yours?

Christmas eve, I wrapped kids presents, drank half a bottle of bundy (Bundaberg Rum) and tried not to feel pissed off at my brothers and father.

Christmas day we had my wife's family over (who are much nicer than my family). We had a "white Christmas" - hail. Very unseasonally cold (its summer here) which made dinner on the back verandah a bit difficult.

Hail is about as close to a white Christmas as we get here in Houston. Although 2 years ago, we got almost a foot of snow here--very rare.
