I got...

  • Some much needed T-shirts
  • Boxer shorts
  • A book of Pat Condell's transcripts
  • Two books on beer - one containing the best pubs in the locality
  • A cheap mobile phone
  • A large bag of chocolate éclairs
There is some more, but I've forgotten them.

And yourselves?

not what I truly wanted which is what I hope for year after year-but at least you got some useful gifts. People can always use underwear.

We've taken up a new tradition this year. It's not what you can get, it's what you can buy. That's why I got $621.65 mostly in Best Buy, Visa, and Mastercard type giftcards from all members of my family including the $143.65 I've been saving.

The Good:

A pea green tea kettle, place mat and pillow cases.
Two brightly coloured tops
Slippers
Vancouver Canucks slippers with poms on them
Some green pea buds (ear buds)
A kinder egg
M&M Minis
A Terry's Chocolate Orange
Some Save On Foods gift cards

The Horrendous:

Forced socialization
Too little time on the Internet because I was pissed off that I was treated like Rain Man for "Getting frazzled" as my mum put it. She thought I was angry that she disrupted me from the Internet a couple of weeks ago. I was angry that I was treated the way that people treated their autistic family members since Rain Man came into existence. Thanks a lot, Hollywood! :x

Not enough Kinks music because I was making up time earning missing Swagbucks by watching Swagbucks TV.

A flashback that I had an hour ago about my mum threatening to take Christmas presents away from my sister and I when we were little, because that's what my sister did to my niece for having a meltdown. If that would have been me, I would have freaked out even more. My niece handled it better than I would have at that age. She's 3 and a half.

Not one but two books on volcanoes! The first, Vulcan's Fury is about the emotional aftermath of communities following an eruption, and the other, Melting the Earth is about all the myths and folklore surrounding volcanoes. I'm really looking forward to reading them.

I pretty much only got money. But at least I can buy what I want that way. Apart from that I just got boxers, socks, some fleeces, and some chocolate.

Some shirts (one has a kitty wearing aviator sunglasses on it, the other has the 11th Doctor on it)
A dress that looks like an oversized blouse (was very pleased because I had been ogling it in a store)
Some leggings (one pair is made to look like jeans and the other has a floral print on it)
Some knee-high socks (one pair with gnomes on it and another pair with clouds and rainbows)
A knitted poncho/jacket thing (one of my favorite gifts)
A pair of slippers that looks rather retro/70s (probably the best pair of slippers I've ever owned, in terms of comfort, size and sheer kitsch)
A monkey hat
A pair of Harley Quinn Converse All-Stars (the first-choice item on my Christmas list, and apparently the last pair in my size according to my mom!)
Some nail polish (all solid and bright colors - my favorites!)

I'm also getting some spending money, the exact amount of which has yet to be determined.

A bigger SD card for my phone. Now I can put more songs on it.

A guitar effects pedal.

A small bag with badges on it.

Some hair accessories.

A thin and shiny black dress.

Some small shoes with bows on.

Some big, boot-like shoes with flower patterns.

A bag full of bath stuff.

A pair of earmuffs that are actually headphones. I had some of these from my gran for my birthday, but they were plain black - these ones have pandas on them.

An "I see stupid people" dress-top thing.

A "The geek shall inherit the earth" T-shirt (Different version if you have seen this before).

A "Free hugs" T-shirt (Strangely this has a cactus on it, it took me a while to get the joke).

A gift card.

And iTunes giftcard (even though I don't use iTunes anymore).

A hoodie that has the logo for a band I think is called the Rolling Stones, even though I've never listened to any of their music.

One of those writband things with a metal skull on it.

Some CD's that were put together for me with songs I don't know.

A purse-like thing.

A game where you have to answer questions but not say yes or no.

Lots and lots of chocolate that I probably won't get to eat a lot of.

I am so spoiled. But my brother and sister got even more stuff!!
