This might just be the most depressing song ever. Then again, it might not even be the most depressing Nine Inch Nails song. Then again, you could probably make a list of ten most depressing songs just out Nine Inch Nails. Also, anyone who says the most depressing song ever is about some break up with have metaphorical molten silver metaphorically shoved up their metaphorical butt. Yeah, those might be sad, but it's far from soul crushingly depressing and in the end it's rather superficial.

Also, you should plan on me posting the Low christmas album later, because you know, if Jesus was born today we would freaking kill him before age eight. Woohoo.

And of course I need help. We all do, but there is no help to find. That's because it's not about looking for help, it's about giving help. That's the problem with our f*****g world view, we place the burden on the victims. We have everything backwards. The world's f****d up, but if you just place on your blinders nothing's gonna change.

Last Christmas I remember chatting with a girl about whatnot and of course I was happy just because it was Christmas and I got presents and crap. As it turns out her mother's boyfriend died a few days earlier, and that killed my mood. It was then I realized just how commercialized and superficial Christmas really was, and how the world doesn't stop on any day. Hell just continues on whether you like it or not, it does not respect the constructs of man.

Exactly 99 years ago was one of the most famous cease fires ever, where the British and German's stopped fighting, got out of their trenches, sang chorals, and played football. Soon they were back in their trenches, dying from chlorine gas and whatnot. If only the pointless war could have ended sooner, and without that ridiculous treaty. If only we could have held onto that one moment for longer, instead of for just one day. It's just one day, not different from any other except for the meaning we place upon it.

That's also the problem with Lent, give up something for 40 days and then people go right back to whatever it was they gave up the moment it's over. You know, while the song I posted expresses Solipsistic themes and may be about Depersonalization disorder the song and the entire album it's on is a reaction to Reznor's struggle with alcoholism.

Ok, I don't even know what I'm ranting about now, so um, have a Merry Christmas, or a Happy Holiday because of goddamn political correctness so you can put your presents under a freaking Holiday Tree. In the end it's just another day.
