I sometimes do. The more I am around non-forum people, the more I just feel like hating society, and our country as a result. Anyone else like this?

All the time. I have nothing in common with humanity, and our values are opposed in nearly all regards. Almost everyone seems evil, worthless, or both to me.

I have my ups and downs towards society-I can take it sometimes but sometimes I could do without it.

No I do not have contempt for society. In my experience most people are good people with the exception of a rotten apple or as the saying goes a bad egg. At work most people are friendly and yet everywhere whether it is school or work there is always one or two persons that are not my favorite and that is life. Yes I wish that it was easier to navigate the world despite having a deficit in reading social cues and nonverbal cues.

Ups and downs, but there's no alienation to me like cycling back to my house in the city on Saturday nights and passing a town centre full of drunken revellers.

Yes. Especially for the people so chained by society. But society here is really very messed up.

'Contempt for society' is too simplistic of a phrase when referring to the hate-tolerate relationship that I hav with the NT world. ; )

It doesn't have to do with belonging for me. I do sometimes feel hate when I realize that people are born with horrible disabilities and obstacles(Cancer, strange diseases), and I think it's not fair how some people are born perfectly healthy and others so horribly and I get angry & sad....But someone mentioned that God gives us only what we can handle and the people with more difficult obstacles are given to them because they are stringer and more able to go through it. I still feel sad for them.

From what I've seen & experienced in my life, the average human being on this planet lacks common sense, which to me, makes them an idiot. I honestly cannot stand people who have no common sense and I ignore them. I find people who have no common sense unworthy of me, you can't reason with people who have no common sense. Same goes for people who are naive; can't stand those people either!

its not so much a contempt as it is a massive disappointment that so much is going on and so few understand or even care. I'd be the first to admit that I don't like society or the zombies (population) that make it up, but I would be fine with it if they would just leave me the hell alone. I am disappointed that nobody seems to notice what is going on. If only the zombies would wake up, things would change, but the reason the people are zombies is because they were raised that way in the first place. It's not society I have contempt for... It's the ones that built this society.

Dear Foxxtale,
They are not zombies, they just know that anyone who speaks out will be crucified.
One must conform, obey, and keep silent.
One must dress and behave as Society dictates.
Singers/actresses are pushed to get breast implants, nose jobs, politicians are pushed to get face lifts and modernize their images, educators are told what to teach, colleges are bribed to accept athletes who cannot do the schoolwork.
Convicted criminals are released early due to over-crowding, and seventeen-year-old murderers are considered juveniles who 'did not understand their actions', and their records will be sealed when a minimal sentence is served.
Children are being abducted and murdered; when a missing child is on the news, we all know there will be no future for this baby, only a funeral.
The massive protests in India over the suffering and death of the young pre-med student were met with police aggression and water cannons; it is not just America!

Sometimes I think that the Jehovah's Witnesses are right...

However, look at what they have been saying, and trying to tell people, basically 'Get it together, it is just getting worse, it will end soon', and look how they are treated and reviled for speaking their truth!
The zombies have found that being a zombie is how to survive.

I agree. The world is a messed up place, but I believe overall people are trying their best to do good. Treating people with contempt achieves very little.

Not quite; I know that for every one bad apple, there's like at least four or five good ones.
