I just joined tonight and this forum seems like a very active place, and I learn much from reading what people say. Is it always this active?

Oh God, MLP, I haven't seen this posted for months, but I'm not surprised that I'm going to see it here. How many hours would one need to know the story and who all the characters are?

Dear Valk,
The activity here seems to ebb and flow, but it seems that there's almost always someone to talk to, and there are some very interesting people to meet here.....

Welcome to WP, by the aw!

I've only been here since November, and it's been busy every time I've logged on.

Thank you! Didn't exactly plan to post an introduction thread as I'm more comfortable with information than socialisation it seems (add to that my recent painstaking vision of online communication as largely illusory - the communicative aspect of it regardless), especially with recent cumulative experiences discouraging me from trying any further, but I suppose wondering about activity also serves as a social cue even when you intend it as an inquiry for information.

It's also good that you can find here other people's experiences/feelings that you can relate to. I think this is a really great forum. I'm starting to be addicted to it.

The first two episodes will give you a good idea of who the main characters are and basic premise of the show. After that, it's mostly random adventures but with some continuity thrown in, except for the two-part beginning of season 2, the Royal Pony Wedding and the beginning of season 3, which are all more plot and conflict heavy like the first two episodes of season 1.

I think hiatuses are pretty popular on here, so the established members' activity well ebb and flow, but we can assume there are a few die-hards (post-hards) here, and that there is a steady flow of new members. Boasting 70,000+ members, you'd expect WP to be a busy place.
