So I was at the range today when on my LAST round, my new Para Ordnance jams... I just bought it on Christmas Eve too... I was wondering if it was the reloads I was using but my Kimber performed perfectly... Now I am sad that I have to wait until Wednesday to get it fixed :(

Failure to feed, eject or fire? Fairly easy to determine what it is based on the specific malfunction. Though sometimes it'll never be found out.

Nothing to worry about though (no idea why people make such a big deal about "reliability" -- no machine is 100% reliable, and when you've shot enough, you realize this). Practice malfunction drills, i.e., tap, rack and bang.

Failure to feed I believe...I went to fire, and nothing, I look, and the round was stuck in there...I eject the magazine and the round comes out

If it was a one/two-off for the session, could just be a one/two-off due to being new (new magazine/s I'm assuming, and you used "official" Para stuff in the Para pistol. I'm also guessing you were shooting basic 230 grain ball from it).

Rounds failing to feed is usually due to the magazine (weak spring, or an "incompatible" one for that pistol; some pistols don't like certain followers too) or a dirty feed ramp (I'm guessing it was clean enough due to being new). The extractor can be a problem too (probably not though).

Probably due to being so new if you were using stuff made for the pistol (there's so many different parts for 1911s, which is why there's so many incompatibilities with it).

Well, there's your problem (unless Para Ordnance uses a unique way of attaching it and have the front hole blocked up; I can't recall the front connector on the ejector ever being removable either. Push the pin out from the side of the frame and the ejector is then lifted out).

Well i hope they fixed it today for you, its wednesday here atleast, so you can go fire your gun at the range again :o Not that i know anything about guns but its not fun when you can't do something you want to do, as in shooting at the range i mean.

Have a nice day by the way!
