interesting ideas... here's a really interesting one: ever hear of the electric universe theory?
from a very basic standpoint, the idea is that the universe is not gravitational in operation, but electromagnetic. There's a lot of really interesting stuff out there on this theory.

While I don't necessarily agree with everything presented in this video, (the mythology is largely up to interpretation, for example) it still gives a great jumping off point.

and here is a link to a great resource for the electric universe theory as well: Thunderbolts.info is a large collection of information on this theory. The link below is to a book on their website: "The Essential Guide to the Electric Universe"

Link

My big goal in life is to make a house using alternative materials. The link above is a 10 list of building methods that aren't widely known, a couple are just silly.

I want to build it in the middle of nowhere (with enough rainfall) or next to the ocean and stack it as high as I could. The idea is to have your living/ social area as big as you need it, and leave the rest to nature.

Idea B is where I build several smaller, less overwhelming structures and dedicate them to a range of functions. Like the hygiene building (with more plumbing), the food storage/kitchen building, a shop building/ hacker space (with better ventilation).

Same idea though, capable of letting people explore nature and still not be at the constant mercy of it.
