I have Googled and Googled but can't find any pertinant info. I also do not have the owners manual for the fireplace. When we bought the house there were owners manuals for the appliances but not the gas fireplace, so there is no help there. Here is the problem.
I have a gas fireplace with this information printed on the metal plate attached to it. Temtex TFC 423 M 67889 No. AB690581 It has two gas burners, one in the front and one elevated one in the back. I have three asbestos logs, one for the front, one for the back, one that lies on the top across both of them. The ignition switch is a round knob on the front right side with OFF IGN 2 3 on it. The pilot light is in the right front and it lights easily and when I turn the knob both burners light well. The problem is that after about ten minutes it cuts off. It didn't always do this.
I just finished taking the logs out and wiping them off, vacuming out the fireplace and cleaning out the cobwebs and dust. I used air duster and cleaned out the gas burners. Everything is nice and clean and it lit just fine but still went out after just a few minutes. I can find nothing online specific to my brand or model, nor can I find any information other than to clean it like I just did or to just call somebody.
If anybody here has any advice or information on what might be wrong with it, please let me know. My husband is an eletrician and doesn't work with gas appliances except for wiring them, but he should be able to follow any instructions from somebody who does know what they are doing. If I can't find any information about how to fix it, I will have to call the gas company, which I don't want to do because they charge $125 just to walk in the door!
TIA

The jets in the burners may require poking a pin through them to ensure they are not clogged. Canned air won't do much to remove any kinds of buildup or oxidation. Failing all this, the thermocoupler may be toast if it has one. Otherwise maybe a thermostat is telling the climate control appliances the room is too hot. I'm not super-savvy on this stuff, maybe Jitro who posts here a lot might know for sure
