What are they being farmed for?
Thats my lifes ambition, to build a frog and toad paradise/sanctuary.

^^^^Sadly,most likely for their legs.
Its easy to build a small lined pond with water plants to attract them.I did and I enjoy seeing them and hearing them,but they are too cute to eat.
Amphibian Ark is a project that is breeding and preserving endangered amphibians with the hope of saving them.There is a world wide die off of many species because of pollution,habitat loss and a deadly fungal disease called BD.
Many are already extinct.

Not to worry they will be released back in the wild, its part of a restoration project. I have a soft spot for frogs I think they are cute!

^^^Oh thank the Gods,at the local store there are boxes of frog legs(shudder)! !! !!
They are being promoted thru out Asia as a cheap food source.It spreads the bullfrogs into areas where they eat the smaller frogs and they are immune to the BD fungus yet can spread it.
They are awesome here because they are native, Jug-o-Rum,thats what they are suppose to say,ha ha.

Hm let's hope so. This looks like your typical Herp Farm, think mass production of farm animals, for all sorts of things... A couple examples would be food and to be sold to bogus big chain pet stores who're only in it for the money.

Although I hear them a lot, I've never seen a frog out in the wild.
I wss walking along a path with a coworker who who had a foreign accent. She jumped when she heard something rustling in the bushes. I said, "What's wrong?" She said, "I'm afrrrraid of frrrrogs."

They make that sound when a snake gets them,I think it attracts other predators which may be more interested in the larger snake for a meal.When I've startled them the snake usually turns lose of the frog and slithers off,unless the poor frog is mostly swallowed,then the snake takes off with the frog in tow.

Ive heard its a defense mechanism an attempt to scare away predators!

Me:hi mr frog how are you today? *picks him up*

Frog: waasaaaaahh

Me: ooookay?....*puts him back down*

Frog: *makes a troll face as he hops away*
