when i was a little kid, i used to have this weird enthusiasm for pointing out heating vents and shouting "HEEDUR!" :mrgreen:

That terrible (read: awesome) "groaner" almost makes up for being wrongly smacked with the ban-hammer.

My family has an old story of me kneeling at the floor register at my grandparents' house calling "Harry down there?" Apparently Harry was a babysitter I don't quite remember.

I should have seen this coming, not having been posted in MO or The Haven

One of our cats, a usually very laid back neutered male, who would hangout on top of a floor vent - would often suddenly stop grooming and stare down into the vent bare his teeth make angry hisses- at whom we dont know.

Apparently the furnace would periodically blow hot air, and would hurt his ass- and he took it personally! It became a running joke that he was mad "at the furnace monster again".
