From what it looks like he certainly was. It certainly helped him in his military career as well as hindered him quite a bit (Operation Market Graden would been an example).

Maybe,Joffre also had many traits of AS.I'm reading a book by Allister Horne about the first war.Most of generals were alittle odd.

Some body making decisions that will result in people getting killed has to be able to make them without letting the enormity of it keep them from thinking clearly. Aspies can do that. (So can sociopaths, but never mind that.)

During the Battle of the Bulge, he might as well have been on another continent. Market Garden was only one of his numerous failures. Market Garden wasn't just overreach, it was overreach that didn't allow for anything but perfect success at any point.
