Topic is in the title. Name and/or discuss your favorite fantasy here! There are no wrong answers.

Except maybe Eye of Argon. And even then....

So! Tell me about your favorite fantasy series. Books, movies, TV shows, etc.

If you can't pick a favorite, just name them all! (I think I have at least ten I'd name as my favorite.)

Books: Mirror of Her Dreams and A Man Rides Through by Stephen R. Donaldson
Memory, Sorrow and Thorn trilogy by Tad Williams (or just about anything else by him)
The Recluse books by L. M. Modesitt (a bit formulaic, but fun)
The Game of Thrones series (I've never seen the TV show--read most of the books years ago)
J. V. Jones' books (lots of gory details, very spooky and atmospheric)

These are my favorites that I've read over and over. I also enjoyed The Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Chronicles of Narnia as a child.

Lord of the Rings. When I was younger it was the Chronicles of Narnia but when the LOTR movies came out it got me really interested in the books. After reading the books they became my favorite fantasy.

I am/was a huge fan of the Dark Elf series by R.A. Salvatore.
Reading The Hobbit again - always a good choice.
Star Trek has become a new fascination of mine (finally gave up on the 'Wars > Trek' stance and learned to appreciate both for what they offer.)

1)The Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling

2)A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L'Engle

3)The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss

I also enjoyed the Artemis Fowl series and A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Dragonlance. I have read every single novel in the series.

Novices like Gandalf and Elminster need to bow down low before the power of Raistlin Majere.

Excellent choice. Was assigned it in school when I was ten. Normally hated the stuff we were assigned. Having to study a book, rather than just being able to read, sucked all the joy right out of it.

But this one, I sat down to read the first couple chapters we'd been assigned and ended up finishing the entire thing in one sitting. Reread it another three or four times over the next few weeks.

I only read it once but I'll never forget it. "I give you your flaws." That like kept me alive a couple of times.

This is an old favorite of mine. It's great satire of the Fantasy genre, Mythology, and dungeon adventure games.

If the people who wrote The Tick wrote a fantasy story instead of a superhero one it would be something like this.
