Why do you go on these forums?

What keeps you interested or coming back to Wrongplanet?

Why is Proxy_Trump asking these questions?
- just curious why people go on forums.

-I will not disclose any of my personal motives or reasons unless I am asked to.

Why?

- I am far more interested in hearing other's opinion than letting the world know mine, and second the voices in my head satisfies my emotional needs except when I have meltdowns. Either or not it's healthy to rely on my voices to comfort or criticize myself, I do not know.


NOTE: I will not comfort or cater to your opinions, Tragic experiences, and poor manners (as in not respecting others, Etc.). I have already seen enough of that throughout these entire forums.

I'm willing to try almost anything at least once. That's why I first came here.
Why I stayed...I'm not sure.

The discussions are interesting and I have a friend here.

Part loneliness, part novelty of reading other people's experiences. There is a direct honesty in so many posts that you rarely find IRL. I find it broadening and comforting.

came here to look up what condition my condition was in?
nld- through my speech theropy classes I was helped through school but I turned away(in middle school I refused to go back and that ended my theropy) and in my later years I looked it up.
I looked for 2-3 months on what my theropys were, what they were at that time and what is what now, and moving forward. I stay cus I love the complexity of the circle and......well, if you have a question chances are......................

About a year ago, I looked up Asperger's symptoms, took an online test and found out either 'what is wrong with me', or 'who I am', depending on one's view of people who are different.

I always have been different; I have memories going back to four year old, and finally knew why.

I found 'WrongPlanet' by searching the Internet, and have never left.

To think, that there are others like me, whose experiences are like mine, who feel and react like me....it is still almost incomprehensible, after all this time being misunderstood and not understanding myself!

Why are you here, Proxy-Trump?

My mother told me about it.
I signed up.
I then made about 17 posts and disappeared for half a year then came back for some reason.
Now I have made friends here

Found it through Google, and I just liked it, so I signed up. I was at 500 posts before the end of my first month.

I joined in December 2009 but had a lot of anxiety, so only posted 14 times by March 2011

I remain because it's nice to meet new people.
I've known about the site since around 2006 though, and had two accounts when I was much younger. Thankfully (in my view), I didn't post much with those accounts.

And all this time I thought the cones told you to join.

first found the site in 2005 but was not mature nor brave enough to join until 2010. it is the ONLY [virtual] place on this planet where i am "with" people sorta like myself.
