Wow, I'm beginning to see the differences between IE8 and IE10. If any of you have Microsoft Office Word you know that if you misspell a word it corrects it for you or a red line appears under the misspelled word where you would have to right click for a drop down menu and select the correct word. This word correction is happening on Wrong Planet as well, which I guess is a good thing. If you don't capitalize certain letters, they will get capitalized as well. The first thing I thought is what gives, I'm not using Microsoft Office Word until it dawned on me yesterday that I decided to download IE10 after seeing it in a list of upgrades. 8)

I had my Windows 7 for a while and only had IE8 until yesterday. If you just upgraded to Windows 7, chances are you have IE10 since this seems to be part of the Microsoft package. I'm having to think as well, but I know there will always be misspelled words on my behalf just to get corrected.

OK. The IE10 was in my Updates as well. I almost didn't install it but decided to. Actually I like it. But I had a hard time liking IE7 but installed the IE8 so I can have InPrivateBrowsing.

I'll get used to it but I don't like it when it changes a word(spelling) without telling me?

I use Microsoft Office Word which has always did these edits, so I was kind of use to it. I was just surprised when that was happening here, in facebook and even in my Yahoo mail. Didn't realize at first why this was happening until I remembered that I downloaded IE10.

Actually, I don't like Windows 8, even with the classic, look after checking out a few computers. Since I work a lot with programs such as paint, movie maker, etc. I would have to download everything and I feel like the same programs that came with 7 should be on 8 also. There are some things I still don't like about 7 but I like it a lot better than Vista Home Premium.

I'm still using XP and IE8. I'm buying a new laptop soon. Probably Windows 8. The other day I installed a program on an acquaintance's new laptop which had Windows 8. I really didn't like it. It's so different. I think it will take some time to get used to it.

Is your XP a 64bit system and do you have high CPU usage? I probably would have still been using my Windows Vista, but no matter what I do, You Tube and other videos along with Wrong Planet and facebook started using 100% of the CPU and I have to exit because it causes my laptop to shut down and that can't be good for it. In the Task Manager the Processes is showing the Internet using almost 100% and I'm running out of things to do though I have made some improvements.

I'm wondering, because the Internet is an ever changing nuisance that 32bit systems just can't handle it anymore. I read where this problem is very high among those with 32bit systems. So this is why I'm on Windows 7 which was the best thing since it is a 64bit system.

Mine is a 32bit system. It's a really old laptop. I don't watch many videos. So that helps. My CPU usage is always very low, but I tend to keep many windows open and sometimes run out of RAM. It's about time (way overdue) I got a new laptop. Software evolves and requires more and more processor speed and RAM. As you said we now need 64bits to do all the things that we want to do. I feel what I can do is pretty restricted by my laptop's capacity. Not that I do a lot on the compute any way. Still I'm really looking forward to a new laptop.

Uh, I hope this autocorrect feature can be turned off. I came close to throwing my phone out the window several times because of its incessant and unhelpful autocorrecting (stupid Samsung Galaxy. Do iPhones actually offer a superior user experience?).
