Celebrity Relation?

So are you related to a celebrity or someone famous? I am a first cousin three times removed of Chuck Mangione, though I have never met him. I am a more distant relation to a Clinton era ambassador, and while he is barely my relative, I know him better. I am not sure he qualifies as a celebrity, though.

How about you?

Actor James Franciscus from the original Planet of the Apes is my dad's second cousin. I don't know what role he plays or anything because I haven't seen the movie. I've never met James in RL either, though he's invited us to Puerto Rico for New Years several times. I don't know why he lives there or how he even has our address.

I know little to nothing about my family, American side or Japanese. I didn't know I was part American Indian until I was a teenager.

I suppose I am, if you consider Betsy Ross (creator of American flag), a celebrity... I'm her great-great-great nephew. I might be + or - a generation on that. I'm also directly related to Joseph Smith; founder of the Mormon Church (although I'm NOT a Mormon). No movie or modern-day celebrity relatives, but my wife is a retired stunt girl and actress; was on Seinfeld as a returning regular in season 8.

I'm distantly related to 4 presidents (Bushes and Roosevelts), and my family played a role in Marilyn Monroe's discovery. They knew her personally in the early years.

I'm related to a couple of tsars of Russia... very distantly, though.

Nothing famous, just 18th-century highwaymen on one branch, 19th-century church builders on another branch.
