I was wondering when you take your car to serviced whether it's for state inspection, emissions, repairs, maintenance, and if you ask the service dept to wash car or vacuum inside carpets if the dealership charges you extra

Thanks.

Depends on where you live for emissions and inspection. We don't do those here.
Ask around and find a dealership or repair shop that is recommended, some will rip you off.
You may or may not have to take it to a detailers for the inside cleaning.
Good luck,I hope you find a place that treats you right.
If you are in anyway mechanically inclined look up your car and educate yourself on it.
Many things you can check yourself,my ex was a mechanic so I have an advantage on most repair shops.I used to sit and watch him rebuild engines.

They don't charge us extra here, but I'm not entirely sure.

I think it's because our smaller Ford won't stay in one piece, and we probably get these services once every few months or so. They know when to expect us now.

We don't have inspections here so that's not anything I have to worry about. We don't really do the servicing thing either. If it needs work done that neither of us or our sons can do, then it goes to a mechanic. Oil is easy to change, as are spark plugs and filters. I'd suggest that you learn how to do that so you can save yourself some money.

For vacuuming, I do that myself. I never get it washed by anyone else. I either take it to the car wash or wash it with a bucket and sponge in the driveway. Everytime I wash it in the driveway I feel like I need to be wearing cutoff shorts, a bikini top and playing "Pour Some Sugar On Me" really loud lol.
