My grandma died in 1997 of cancer aged 67.

I know this is a very morbid question but if you could take a wild guess if she was still alive today how might my grandma look different in 2013 compared to how she did in 1997? My gran had quite papery skin that wrinkled easily.

She would look older now than in 1997 since she would be around 83 years old now instead of 67. From what you described, I'd say she would have quite wrinkly skin. Some people around that age do look 20 or so years younger than their real age, but you said she had quite papery skin that wrinkled easily. So, that's my guess.

If you really want to, you could get some sophisticated computer program to generate the image of your grandmother at 83 based on the pictures etc from her younger age since you seem to be very attached to your grandmother (I've read your other posts, too).

I don't know if you would want to pursue it beyond curiosity, but, there are services that will age progress someone and make an image for you to keep.

The good ones should factor in lifestyle, weight, heredity, etc. Things like, how thick was their hair, did they have medical conditions (other than the obvious), as some medical conditions can cause weight gain or loss, or hair loss: stuff like that. Things like, what did they eat, did they drink alcohol, all of those things can affect appearance over the years.

Without knowing more about how she already looked it's difficult to say more.
