Near my local town sometimes I go to a view point on top of a 190m hill. More to the point on a clear day (or when it is not cloudy) I can see the buildings in the city of London in the far distance. If it is a hot sunny day I can see London in much more detail and even smaller buildings are much more visible. However on a very cloudy day I can't see any of London.

The hill I view from is 37 miles away from London according to wikipedia. Do you think London is probably a lot further away than it seems from the hill????

I don't know, but can you take a picture of it and post it? It sounds like a really neat view.
