Yah Living with 5mbit 800 kbps internet d/u speeds sucks... plus family doesn't give a **** about me and is rude to me....

Hate Slow Internet and The Telecoms In This Country

So you hate your family because your internet is slow?

My family has a 3/1 mbit connection, and I've hated it the entire time I lived there. Before that they had dial-up. Not much they could do about it though considering that's the best that was offered. If you moved there now, you wouldn't have internet.

I don't hate them for it, I just hated the place I lived. If it's not a matter of what is offered, but what they are paying for, perhaps you should bring up the issue and ask if they can upgrade.

It might just be a matter of cost. Not everyone has enough money to pay for high-speed internet. Did you consider that?

Be happy with your 5/1, many people don't even have an internet connection.

Well then if you don't like how the computer is, get off it and leave it alone and go outside and do something.

Do you solely hate them for slow internet or is it just 1 example of how they disown you. Such as being locked in a lightless dungeon with minimal food and only laggy internet for fun. Surely you could partake in other forms of entertainment.

But the slow download of material needed is the very root of such frustrations.

Talk to (not at) your family, read a book, go outside, exercise, get a Pt/ft job if you can handle it, complain less, solve your problems more; And of course if non of this is applicable nevermind... lol

I have a job and can pay for my own access... but there is only one cable line and one account holder ... WTF

I think all internet providers are like that. Only one account & line per household but you can share net by adding a router which the providers want to rent to you & hook it up for you at extra cost but you can buy your own or a modem that's also a router instead of paying to rent which is the & cheapest & best long term option. Getting back to your net speed problem you could offer to have the account transferred to your name or tell your family you'd pay the difference in cost if they upgrade the speed.
I had that problem with my parents too. I wanted/needed faster speed & my mom felt it wasn't necessary & didn't want to pay the extra cost. My mom eventually decided to transfer the account to my name for various reasons. I had to start paying the bill for net & cable but I was able to get a faster speed & mom didn't gripe about me not contributing for my net & cable.

I know that but, its the effort that he makes to get the service... he does nothing to try.... not even one try to order and get the discounts for 150mbit rogers and unlimited... I got slow dsl and it affects the lifespan of my hdd's (dsl max download and upload rate is 5mbit and 800kbps in london ontario). Which is 2 gigabytes per hour and 350 megabytes per hour. It's slow and is also affected by multiple users on the network. Like at my house!! !!


kinda mad... that the money i get from a job can't pay for faster internet even if cable is my only option right now for faster speed
