I didn't really think this through. A neighbor and I were talking about the difficulty I have with cooking stuff, and he said what he liked to do was boil a pound of chickpeas, use a third for hummus, a third for felafel, and a third for curry. So I figured, why not. I bought a pound of chickpeas and boiled them. But now I just realized - I don't have a food processor, so I can't make hummus, even though I have the ingredients; I hate felafel; and I don't have any curry powder. I also hate going out at night to shop. So now I have a zillion chickpeas. Any idea what to do with them?

You could still toss them in (olive) oil and black pepper and put them in a salad.

You could make a chickpea salad (of the pea salad type) if you can find a recipe you like, online.

You could also buy a potato masher (in most grocery kitchen aisles) and mash some by hand to make hummus with, although it won't be super smooth.

You can buy a cheap hand held food processor and puree them that way.

These are great ideas! I can try some of them tomorrow, although I'll try the first one tonight! Thanks!
