At A Bar

Well. I dunno. I went to a bar tonight. Life in general is alright; I'm getting A's on all the tests in my summer Spanish classes at the university, and I dunno--I'm still practicing guitar. But the bar sucked. I went to a bar and thought that I could meet people and have a good time, however, it was just completely wretched. A bunch of girls came up and rubbed against me while they were buying drinks, but they were all the same. You know what I mean? They were just stagnant souls. Yeah, that sounds sort of harsh, but that's sort of how I feel. The whole experience was terrible. I really wanted to go out and meet people, but in this town the only places to go are church or bars. So, not being religious I went to a bar. It sucked. I didn't talk to anybody, the music was terrible, and hell the penguins lost. Just a terrible time. I really wanted to make a friend, but this town is just wretched. Maybe the world is. Can't connect with anybody, even at a bar. Whatever. Thanks for reading a sort of slanted and definitely ridiculous rant. . .yeah.

Don't be hard on yourself about not making a friend. Lots of us on the spectrum have problems doing the bar thing. I know what you mean about the only places to meet people are church & bars; it was like that were I used to live. I tried to make friends online instead. It wasn't the same as real life friends but some were a big help to me. Maybe you could meet someone online who lives around you. You could also try to find something to do in a near by town/city besides the bar & church thing.
