Well, not really, but a little ego-boosting is good for the soul.
I got this message on Flickr last night:
Quote:
:: Little Chef
Hi, my name's X and I work on the BBC News website. I very much like your picture of the Little Chef restaurant on Preston Road (sic)), and wonder if you'd mind whether I used it on a BBC News story on Friday 5 January. I would include a link to your flickr page and a credit, either to "Lancastrian" or your full name if you would prefer. My work e-mail is X
I said 'yes' and thought about it.
The picture itself is here (
http://www.flickr.com/photos/lancashire/309586288/). I don't even know why I took it to be honest - I was on a trip up to southern Cumbria and just poked my camera out of the window at a junction and shot it.
Today, I look at the BBC website and find this (
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6232425.stm) - credit and all. Isn't it beautiful? Sorry if I'm lording it but I'm quite pleased with myself at the moment. Ah yes, the photography and archival of social history looks positively fascinating to me right now.
Sorry if some people here want to vomit but I'm quite the happy bunny.
Cheers.
