I hate wear shoes, I prefer to go bare feet. Anytime where wearing shoes isn't needed I take them off. The times wear I need to wear shoes such as school, some public places etc. I wear these shoes(non school ones) my gives me a note because the school shoes hurt my feet, I still get yelled at by the stupid old teachers for not wearing correct uniform shoes even though my shoes look a lot like the school ones. I either wear those or sandals when I go out in public. I also have my formal shoes that I wear on special events. Other than that those are the really only shoes I wear. It's very hard for my mum to buy me new shoes because most of them feel uncomfortable on my feet. My feet are very flat and most shoes are designed for arches. My feet feel suffocated in the shoes and they are sweaty and hot if i take them off and feel uncomfortable. If I buy shoes they must be bigger than my feet to give them lots of room. Anyone else have this problem?

No, interestingly I have the totally opposite problem -- I'm almost near-phobic about going around with bare feet, even in my own home with clean floors. I can't stand the feeling of walking barefoot unless I'm in my shower. It's the sensation of things on the skin of my sole that's icky to me. I have to something covering my feet and sometimes even socks isn't enough, so at home I wear flip-flop sandals or slippers.

I'm non-conformist when it comes to footwear.
I hate wearing shoes unless it's really, really cold and my toes are in danger of frostbite.
Otherwise it's bare feet or bare-minimum sandals for work.

No, when I'm out I very much prefer to have my feet and toes protected from dirt, glass shards, rocks etc and being stepped on, and protect my toes from getting stubbed. I wouldn't go barefoot outdoors even if we had a garden. I could never be sure not to step on bugs or animal/bird feces.
I go barefoot indoors in summer due to the heat, and socks when it's colder and slippers when it's cold.

I love going barefoot and don't like shoes. I've had the same pair of running shoes for years now.

Don't like them either. It's a joke among my relatives that my feet explode when I enter a home, because my shoes and socks come off almost instantly and are occasionally found in odd places. When I was little, I'd just go barefoot a lot... I'd get scolded for it and just point to my calluses and go "it's fine."

I have to wear work boots for my job... I mean I could wear sneakers if they were the right color, but I want something a bit tougher and more waterproof. Only intact pair of shoes I own right now.

But when I'm off work and it's warm out, sandals all the way!

Yes! I hate wearing shoes! They are so uncomfortable. I like the way they look but they drive me crazy. Going to buy some minimalist shoes. It's supposed to be closer to the feeling of being barefoot. I only wear shoes when absolutely necessary.

Yeah unlike lots of girls I know I have don't have lots of pairs of shoes. Girls I know need a new pair every few months but I have had the same of shoes for years. It takes me forever to find the right pair of shoes to wear that feel comfortable and look nice. But other girls can wear what they find in the shop and feel comfortable. It sucks!

I sometimes go barefoot to take out the garbage.

I have to walk about 100 yards outside my apartment in order to reach the garbage shed. I always walk on the grass. It's a cool feeling walking on the grass barefoot.
