When I was 9, we moved to this horrible place in the country after living in places like Adelaide and Sydney. When I was 15 Mum took me to my first Aussie Rules Football game (my Lions lost, but who cares) and I decided that my chosen destination to escape this rural hell was going to be Brisbane.

Tomorrow is my last day here  I'm moving to a really nice suburb near the Brisbane CBD (and the Gabba lol) where I have always wanted to live (in fact, just down the street from the motel where I always stayed on weekends for Lions games). All it took was a lot of hard work and the willingness to fight for what I wanted (I told my boss I either got a transfer to Brisbane or next year I was goneski, remembering I work in a job where training takes at least 6-12 months. He got me my transfer pretty quickly).

So don't EVER give up, dreams coming true is very, VERY possible.

I'm just holding out for Thursday, all my furniture is there already and set up the way I want it. My cats have been there a few times and they love it (it's a tiny place, but the views are gorgeous, it's a great location and cats are automatically approved).

You don't know how exciting this is, even though it hasn't completely sunk in yet.
