I've actually thought of a couple of those myself--like the full-body umbrella.

My garlic press is pretty useless, unless you have hands of steel. I have hands of warm butter.

I agree with auntblabby's assessment of the pet rock.

I would totally wear that sweatshirt. However, I don't think my bf would be happy about being stuck in the girls side, or in the shirt at all for that matter.

Hand sanitizers have their place, but I think that 'antibacterial soap' is WORSE than useless. And its hard to find liquid soap that is NOT antibacterial ( which is what I prefer).

Humans dont need to have thier hands sanitzed constantly (we all wouldve died out millions of years ago if we were that fragile).

And such stuff probably speeds up bacteria evolving resistence to medicine we do need to fight bacteria. So not only are they useless- they are probably actually dangerous in the long run.

Does anyone remember the game The Inventors? It had 'invention cards' for things like eyeglasses for chickens, an alarm clock that threw you out of bed, an automatic hat-tipper, and a parachute hat, among others. I think most of them would have qualified for this thread.
