In my country we have a record-breaking heat, I wonder why this is happening.

I wondering does such heat are in other countries too?

My area of the country is overcast and in the twenty's. We just got a break from some typical heat.

I was in Poland one July about seven years ago. It was blindingly hot then, but nowhere near to quite the extent of that.

That must be killing you man.

It's been around 25°C and sunny and cloudy here today. Mainly cloudy.

It was so hot that you could not breathe, fortunately night started.

How humid was it?

Where I live it was in the high 20s/low 30s for 2 weeks, with upwards of 80% humidity and it was very hard to sleep. 42C is like desert/India hot though. I would melt.

In the 42 degrees C, maybe a little exaggerated.

The thermometer on my balcony indicated 42 degrees, but the national meteorological office, said it was only 39 degrees

In Western Australia, where I live, we sometimes get above 40 degrees. Probably a few days of that per summer. I think in the north of WA it's even hotter.

But I never thought Poland would get that hot. I'm not familiar with the climate in other countries, but Poland strikes me as a cold country.

Yeah I thought poland was a cold country too. I can't imagine nearby places like Sweden getting 40C

We had a hailstorm yesterday with hailstones the size of golf balls:

Some places apparently had ones the size of tennis balls. A lot of houses and cars were damaged.
