I was raised on the California coast (Silicon Valley to be exact) so that's the accent I have. For the most part, anyway.

could you do a midwest aka general american/neutral american accent.
when I try speaking with a neutral american accent(without reading)
I sound like a stoner or a stereotypical teenager.

I can, but prefer to speak normally. The truth is, my accent isn't completely typical of the area I grew up in. First of all, I lived all over the Silicon Valley and what a lot of non-native SV people don't realize is the accent differs greatly between cities and even different parts of one city. So, my accent is a bit of a mix of the entire SV. There's also a bit of a Brit accent due to a lot of British programming I've watched over the years, as well as a slight Mexican accent.

No, I don't speak Spanish fluently, but do understand a bit of it.

No,I doubt I could.I have heard that most newscasters are from the Midwest because that is a neutral accent.I did narrate two tapes in the Ozark dialect based on two books, Way Back in the Ozarks, and The Tale of Danny Boy by Monk Hefley. But I feel free to say this as I don't think the tapes are a available for anyone to hear anymore.

I didn't pick up a Southern accent for some reason, despite being immersed in it. I speak standard broadcast American English. I learned my accent (or lack thereof) from phonics, I think, because I learned to read so young. Or maybe I just watched too much TV.
