Anyone else think dogs are kinda overrated?

I like some dogs, but overall I definitely prefer cats. I think a lot of dogs are kinda ugly, I don't like the fact they kill cats and small children, and owning one sounds like a lot of work. Also I think barking is kind of annoying.

I think if I ever do get a dog, it would be one with a laid back, independent "cat like" personality.

I like dogs, but I couldn't eat a full one.

No seriously, I do like them but for me they're nothing special, and I certainly wouldn't let one sleep in my bed or lick my face.

That's taking it a step too far.

Yeah, I agree. Some people act like dogs are angels or something. I love some dogs, but I really don't get the "hype" for them either. I think their energy/hyperness just makes me a bit uncomfortable. Same as I am with children.

I do however try to be friendly to other people's dogs. I'd only want them to keep the dog at a distance from me if they have a tendency to bite.

Dogs are not overrated. They are wonderful companions.

I love both of my dogs.

No, I think dogs are great. Charming, loving, loyal, always happy to see you. What's not to like?
And calling dogs killers of cats and children is such an inaccurate statement I can't even take it seriously.

But I do think cats are overrated.
