My daughters fiancé and their friend were having an actual debate just now. It was about whether squirrel or possum is better. To eat. So I think this is a good time to bring up the fact that I want to cook a goose this year for Christmas rather than the traditional ham. Both of them turned up their noses and looked at me like I suggested eating tennis shoes.

You could always tell them about TURDUCKAN. its chicken stuffed in duck which is stuffed in a turkey.
I don't know how to put pictures up or I would put a picture of one for you.

We know about that. We also know about grilling a whole chicken by opening a canned beer and stuffing the whole chicken onto it and cooking it covered. It tastes great. You sit it upright on the grill. You have to open the beer first or it'll explode.

Sometimes the stereotypes are true, and when they are, it's hilarious.

I was explaining this to a FB friend from here, earlier tonight. How some redneck stereotypes are true. I got into explaining that after telling him the joke "Whats a rednecks last words?" The answer is "Hey yall, watch this!" That's true and it's funny because it's true.

See, if you give a redneck enough beers, say a 12 pack, and then tell him something is impossible, he's gonna do it. Especially if it involves firearms, fireworks, blowing something up, climbing something, jumping off of something, or binge drinking. It will happen. You cannot stop it. That's why the soberest person sitting around drinking usually tries to change the subject when impossible s**t to do comes up in the conversation. Because he doesn't want his buddies to go to the hospital/get arrested/die/all three, that night. When he fails to do so, tragedy strikes. We don't do this to them on purpose. It's just a bozo no no. A party foul, big time. No, no, no. You don't get somebody riled up to do something when he's drunk cause he will go do it. The crazier it is the more determined he is to do it. It's not just men. I've done some things after drinking tequila that I'm amazed that I lived through. I will not say what they were.

Ever.

Jumping off s**t is a redneck hobby. It's like an obsessive AS hobby to them. That's why in every redneck strip pit swimming hole and river swimming spot you'll see suicidal climbs to rope swings, ladders, zip lines, etc. These are ok to jump off. Then in the higher spots you'll see warning signs that normal people don't need because they won't go up there. They will say "WARNING!! ! DO NOT JUMP FROM HERE! DANGER!!" yet people do. That's why in the even higher spots, where it's shallow or there are rocks, you will see actual signs that say "WARNING!! !! REALLY DO NOT JUMP FROM HERE!! !! IT'S TO (sic) SHALLOW!! !! ROCKS!! !! !! !" These are metal, red and black on yellow signs. We actually have to have them. Yet, at least once a year somebody does it and they drag the river for the body and it's on the news.

These are similar to the "WARNING DO NOT CLIMB!" signs on everything higher than two stories. Water towers, electric fences (yes, and some of the signs exaggerate the voltage to discourage people from doing it anyway) f*****g ELECTRIC TOWERS, CELL PHONE TOWERS, the courthouse, etc. You'll see signs halfway up saying "GET DOWN! TRESSPASSING!" too. People spray paint their names on these signs.

Rednecks will do damn near anything. Trust me on that.

Really.
