SNOOOOWWWWW!! I'm super-excited right now, it's my first time seeing snow in 10 years, and it is a lot of it!

Everyone around here is grumbling and cursing under their breath about the snow. A bunch of debbie downers if you ask me!

Someone told me that it was snowing in Manchester the other day, but I didn't notice it.

"snow" is a naughty word here in rhode island (mostly because the people using the snow plow trucks don't do a very good job)

I snowed a couple of days ago here, and the below freezing temperatures will ensure that it doesn't go anywhere for a long time.

I used to live in a region where we had one or two snowy days per year. It was always exciting too see snow. Now I live where there is no snow even in winter. I haven't seen snow for many years. I miss it.

I grew up in western New York State (Buffalo, Rochester) Snow was as much a part of life as breathing, and I grew quite tired of it. Then I lived in southern California for 12 years, didn't miss the snow while I was there. But then the heat of the summer drove me away from Los Angeles. Intense sun & 100 degree plus temps made me physically ill.
I then migrated north to Portland in 2008. It's a nice balance here. There is some winter, but not too much. Usually Portland only gets an inch or so at a time. Enough to give you that excited 1st snow feeling.
I was kinda disappointed at the "dusting" of snow we got a couple of days ago. If it's gonna be 20 degrees, there should be inches of snow on the ground.

I love snow and we got the most snow in years

I had loads of fun Friday taking my jeep on the back roads
did a little snow drifting, pulled a guys car out of a ditch and pulled another car up a icy hill

I always stop when I see someone stuck in the snow

Yesterday, I had to shovel snow for the first time this season. It was more than they said it would be. I have a long driveway as well, so it is no fun.

We had snow a couple times already here in Vermont this season but it was minor compared to the major snow storms. We're supposed to be having more snow today but so far the weather is OK except for cold but it's only 7am rite now. I don't care for snow but I'm from south Louisiana & there hasn't been snow in that area in aLONG time(maybe 10years) & what we call snow is more like ice than other places. This is my 2nd winter in Vermont & we're in the city & city snow is not like regular snow, at least from what I hear. Sidewalks & roads are plowed & snow is piled high on side the road which is dirty from the plowing & the rest of the snow is dirty & packed down from people walking on it. I don't like being outside when it's snowing because it's cold & wet but then again when I was on the phone with my parents Friday they said the temp was in the 80s with close to 100% humidity so the weather I'm used to is very different of coarse thou I have a low tolerance for humidity & high heat especially considering where I'm from.

It's snowing in Langley, BC at 7:34 in the morning! :D

I woke up an hour ago and I thought I was dreaming when I saw snowflakes coming down. It's also a sign of hope for me anyways, that the Earth could be cooling instead of warming and there might not be a rise in the sea level in my lifetime. :)
