When I see one on TV I have to wonder what's the point? I wouldn't enjoy participating in one. Once I saw one in a commercial that had a poodle at the end and I thought it was one of the grossest things I've ever seen. Maybe they're a kind of test to see how NT you are?

I think they are stupid too. I have yet to see a purpose for them other then for people to look silly.

Yes, quite stupid, but not as stupid as flash mobs.

I didn't know what conga lines were. I just googled it. Yes, the pictures look embarrassing.

Maybe if it is done by certain groups of people in certain situations, it might look more natural and not too silly.

I have participated in a conga line, and I can tell you they are stupid - the dumbest. It requires that many people imbibe alcohol and/or it requires a group of people that are asses. They are not fun and they don't last very long thank god. I remember afterwords feeling dirty, like I had just participated in some dark art, the core of my being was damaged somehow. I think it might be trauma.

The silliness is the fun part. You have to let loose, and not be worried about acting the fool. :jester:

They can be pretty funny to watch sometimes, especially when the people are wearing stupid outfits like grass skirts or togas & are drunk :)

I remember participating in one years ago, but I can't say that I enjoyed it.

They may be silly, but they are fun. However, I do have a thing about touching strangers, or anyone for that matter.

Ohhh, I just got a mental flash of "Animal House" with Otter touching John Belushi's butt, though it should have been Niedermeyer
