This one is for all the "conspiracy theorists".

When I was a sophomore in high school I did a report on the patriot act because when I had first heard about what it was I thought that it sounded like what Hitler did at the beginning of his reign. I thought it was highly interesting so I chose that to do my speech on. It wasn't on the list of subjects but the teacher let me do it. I talk about all this stuff; being deported w/out notice, no lawyer, government spying on account of 'homeland security' and such. During my research I came across Alex Jones. Some people don't like him cause at this point he appears to be 'just trying to sell things'. But he's the first 'conspiracy theorist' that influenced me. It did of course lead to many other people as well. But anyway, I told myself when I was still in high school, that I only wanted to know the truth. And I have found out so much more.

But what I wanted to know was if you're reading this and you are also a 'conspiracy theorist' who was the first 'conspiracy theorist' to influence you or 'wake you up'? So to speak...

Probably Robert Anton Wilson. I read his stuff while I was still in high school, and his mix of humor and distrust for authority inoculated me against the fear-mongering kind of conspiracist I would encounter later on.
