Mine would probably be rubbing cool, smooth shiny things against my lips. Not only does it feel soothing, but it's shiny! Aaaah, it's so mystifying!!

I compulsively tighten the muscles around my shoulder blades; I've been trying to quit for years, because it forces me to take short breaths and places a lot of stress on my chest.

Sooner or later it's going to give me a heart attack.

two of my favorites, which i happen to be indulging in now as i write, are taking an old raggedy hair-tie and rubbing it against the dead skin on my lips and fingers. i know that sounds gross but its really relaxing! dont let me get started on how i peel the dead skin off behind my ears-its a great stress reliever

lol. i do that with pretty much everything, (the skin thing) like with lips and such.. several years ago my ears decided to flake up for some reason, and I would keep on peeling it off.I had a nice little pile....I also love topick at scabs, booboos ect, so they blled and then reform so I can do it again. in the fourth grade I had extreme dandruff and it would make little scabs. I was known as the girlwith her hands in her hair.

i like rubbing my tongue to the top of my mouth... kinda like what you do if you were sucking your thumb... only there's no thumb. i have a tongue ring, so i play with that a lil too... but not visibly. most people don't even know i have one

It depends; I hold my breath a lot... and I tap my leg when I'm nervous, drum my fingers when I'm confused and I handflap when I'm freaked out, nervous or frustrated.

I only rock when someone touches me when I'm not expecting it; if someone touches me and I'm not ready, I stim the whole nine yards, handflapping, rocking, and I get nonverbal for about a minute.

Yeah, a lot of aspies seem to like this stim ;^).

Also (this might just be me...lol), I like to whistle if I'm nervous. I start usually with Symphony 40 from Mozart and usually move into Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by Bach if it's a good day. Bad days have Frank Tichelli's Shenandoah.

Ya...bouncing the leg...doin' it now. Almost always when I'm at the computer or table.
Sucking my thumb when I can get away with it.
Twirling my hair, usually when I'm feeling shy.
Wiggling my fingers in the 'synchronized wave'....I do this at work a lot. (Kinda like Mr. Burns, but not with my hands together, and not in an evil way...!)
And singing...but whether this is a stim, or just being happy, I don't know.
