Expanding the city?

How come London is not expanding in size? Tokyo for instance is much larger than London.


Is there reason why they do not want to expand the city beyond the M25?

I myself only live 42'miles from the city

Why not ask the GGA?

THEY should know what's going on, not us.

Well, then they'd have to expand the borders of the Greater London area, which would cause problems for everyone, and having the city beyond the motorway would be awkward.

My city, for the contrary, is expanding in size along with my neighbouring city which is the capital of my region.

I mean just go on the edge of my city and You only have to walk half an hour to get to the next city, eventually I suspect they'll become a ' super city ' as it were.

I honestly can't see London expanding much more than it is now. Cities are built on trade, and considering that London already trades with the US and the Mediterranean, trade is pretty much stagnant at this point. Unless some middle-eastern country or African country suddenly becomes civilized and a power (which I highly doubt would happen), London will likely stay the same. The only reason the east coast of the US is expanding is because of people who like urban life that move there and slowly expanding South American trade. I can, however, see the West Coast of the US and Asian cities expanding drastically over the next few years, due to the ever-increasing technology market and growing populations.
